Everhour's Reports section is where raw time data becomes actionable insight. Whether you need a simple summary of hours per person this month or a detailed breakdown of billable versus non-billable time by client across the quarter, the report builder gives you the flexibility to construct exactly the view you need — and then save it so you don't have to rebuild it next week.
This nearly eight-minute video is the most comprehensive guide to Everhour reporting — covering every option in the report builder, from selecting columns to applying filters, grouping results, and exporting the final output.
What's covered in this video
Everhour offers several foundational report types. A time report shows individual time entries in full detail — who logged what, on which project and task, on which date, with what note, and at what billing rate. A summary report collapses those entries into aggregated totals, which is useful when you want to present a clean picture of hours by project or by person without exposing individual entries. Both report types support the same set of filters: you can narrow results by one or more projects, by one or more team members, by client, by date range, by tag, by billable status, or by any combination of these. Filters apply instantly, and the report recalculates without any loading delay.
Grouping controls let you arrange the data hierarchy to match your use case. For a payroll report, you might group by team member as the primary dimension and by date as the secondary. For a client billing report, you might group by project and then by task to show clients exactly what work was done. Columns can be toggled on or off — adding cost columns brings in the monetary value of time based on configured billing rates, which turns any time report into a financial report suitable for a project manager or accountant.
Once you've configured a report that you'll need again, you can save it as a named template. Saved reports are accessible from the left sidebar with a single click and retain all the filter and grouping settings you configured. Everhour also supports scheduled report delivery — you can set a saved report to be emailed automatically to a list of recipients on a daily, weekly, or monthly schedule, which is ideal for sending timesheet summaries to clients or budget updates to stakeholders without any manual intervention.
Key features shown
The report builder in Everhour gives you control over every dimension of your time data. Column selection covers basic fields like hours and date, as well as financial fields like billable amount and cost. Filters support multi-select for clients, projects, and people, so you can build cross-cutting reports that span your entire team or drill down to a single project. Grouping lets you nest dimensions in any order to produce the exact hierarchy your audience needs. Saved report templates eliminate repetitive configuration and ensure consistency across recurring reports. Scheduled email delivery sends reports to stakeholders on autopilot. CSV export makes data available for further analysis in Excel or accounting tools, while PDF export produces a clean, shareable document suitable for client-facing or board-level reporting.
